Mastered bright international students

The University of Tokyo has opened the call for Masters scholarships for international students in the Graduate School of Science with a monthly allowance of 1,100 euros.

The scholarship will be paid in quarterly bank account after getting the confirmation of registration and will be granted as of April/October 2014 until March/September 2019. The registration deadline is April 30 for entering October.

In addition, the University of Tokyo offers international students other types of financial aid such as school fees waivers, scholarships, emergency loans and discounts for students.

The purpose of this scholarship is twofold. On the one hand the center of Japanese higher education wants to financially support international students self ('self-supported students') whose academic performance is outstanding and in turn Tokyo's University wants to increase the number of students studying abroad.

The Autonomous University of Tokyo considers international students to people who have a visa university studies but do not receive any financial assistance from the Government of Japan grants nor in their country of origin.

Selection Criteria

This is a scholarship senior who wants to support outstanding students, therefore applicants must be students with excellent qualifications which in turn pass the entrance exam in the Masters Program of the Japanese scientific school.

Students must submit the application form to the School Office at the time of application for the masters program. The duration of the scholarship will graduate April/October 2014 to March/September 2019.

Along with the application form students must attach a letter of recommendation signed by the college or university where the student completed his higher education in the country.

The PAUWES-Institute is one of the five Regional Institutes of Panafrikanischen Universität (PAU). In which topics on Water, Renewable Energy and Climate change are developed.

Government Scholarship in Tianjin (China)

DEADLINE : The Higher Education Institutions should submit the list of scholarships and application documents to the Commission of Tianjin Municipal Education on June 15 .

In order to promote the development of higher education of international students in Tianjin, to further enhance the talent cultivation , scientific research , social service and cultural exchange , Tianjin has established Government Scholarship (TGS ) for international students.

CATEGORIES OF APPLICANTS AND DURATION OF SCHOLARSHIP

The recipients are international students in Tianjin and students wishing to study in Tianjin.
The target audience is college or higher level foreign students applying to study in Tianjin and the excellent foreign students studying in Tianjin.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• a . Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
   
• b . Applicants for undergraduate program must have a high school diploma high school with good academic performance and be under 30.
• c . Applicants for master's programs must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 with two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors .
• d . Applicants for doctoral programs must have MS and be under 40 with two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors .
• e . Applicants must meet the language requirements of higher education institutions and provide relevant evidence , such as HSK certificate , other certificates of Chinese learning and examination, etc. The restriction can be relaxed for foreign students whose careers are taught in English .
• f . Applicants should not apply for another scholarship at the same time.
• g . Conditions apply to domestic students

1. Applicants must be self-funded foreign university , postgraduate, doctoral student who is normally registered in Tianjin. Applicants who have applied for leave , which retains student status or extension of schooling last year they will not be allowed .
2. Applicants must perform well in school without truancy, other violations of school rules at school or other violations of the laws and regulations of China outside of school .
3. Applicants must have the right attitude of learning and study hard. Academic records of applicants must be excellent in the previous year.
4. Applicants have not received any other scholarships in the same year .

VALUES OF SCHOLARSHIP

• a. Scholarships for PhD students : 40,000 RMB/person/year.
• b . Master scholarships : 30,000 RMB/person/year.
• c . Undergraduate Student Scholarship : RMB 20,000/person/year.
