The "International Fellowship" scholarships are intended for full-time study or research in the U.S. and cater to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents in the country (for which the Association has other scholarship programs that can check if this is you).

There is an annual contest, usually open between August and December of each year. The beginning of the school year is from July following the end of the call and June of the following year.

Preference is given to women who have shown a strong commitment to the advancement of women through their professional, civic or community work.

A maximum of six scholarships are renewable for a second year.
