Studies in the UK : Before Leaving - Health Insurance

In England, the National Health Service (NHS) offers most of the foreign students the opportunity to receive free both primary care physician consultations as most typical of a hospital, provided that in the case of emergencies. Other treatments, such as those that include operations, require a waiting list of several months.

» Health Insurance

All those people who suffer from a particular condition or just want to have extra coverage for your health can take out private insurance. However, you should learn what each policy covers services in the UK and in which clinics, which usually always offer a high quality service.

» Introducing drugs into the UK

To travel with medicines from another country (eg prescribed treatment in the place of origin) is advisable to check first if its use is permitted in the UK.

Once in the destination country, the drugs always be carried in a container provided by the pharmacist and which appears on the label of what it is. In addition, it is recommended to carry a prescription signed by a doctor or any kind of official record with details about medication transported. It is useful to potential control at borders, since the same drugs in certain countries do not require a prescription, may need it in the UK.
